About Valerie
Valerie has been a Registered Nurse for the past 17 years. She holds certifications in both Inpatient Obstetrics and Childbirth Education. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
Valerie has extensive experience as both an army nurse and a travel nurse, which provided her with the opportunity to work in many different parts of the country including New York, Texas and California. She is excited her career has come full circle and that she’s now back in her home state of Pennsylvania!
Currently, Valerie loves supporting families by teaching them practical knowledge and hands-on skills as they prepare to welcome their newborns. In addition to teaching Childbirth Preparation and Newborn Basics classes at MLFEd, Valerie works as a Labor and Delivery and Newborn Nurse on Paoli Hospital’s Family Centered Maternity Unit (FCMU).
In her free time, Valerie enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, baking (cupcakes!) and running.
