What Couples are Saying:

Confidence boost

It was an amazing place to ask all of the questions to an unbiased source that wasn’t family or friends. Anyone who feels like they could use a confidence boost or feels like they’re a little overwhelmed with the process should sign up for one of their courses.

All the basics and more

We really enjoyed the class. I appreciated the instructor’s personality – she kept things light but also very informative! My husband has less experience with babies than I do, and he felt like he has a few more tools in his tool belt for when our baby arrives. It covered all of the basics of things we wanted to know more about.

First-hand experience

I had been looking forward to Newborn Basics for a while but was definitely nervous that I would feel overwhelmed with the material. Liz made us feel so comfortable, and her first-hand experience both as a nurse and a mom made the material fun to learn about.

Fun and interactive

My husband and I did the Newborn Basics class with Liz and it was amazing. Liz is a great teacher and creates an extremely welcoming environment for the expecting parents. She gave a lot of information but at the same time kept it funny and interactive. I would recommend this class for anyone expecting. We really enjoyed it!

Learned useful skills

Had a wonderful time practicing and learning useful skills for when our baby arrives.

A really reassuring class

This class helped reassure us that we knew some of the basics and filled in the gaps for things we didn’t know. Very helpful to have the book to refer to when baby comes. I liked the very small, personal group. Liz was wonderful! We can’t wait for our next class!

So happy we took this class

I never felt silly answering a question, and honestly the time flew by! I’m so happy my husband and I took this class- thank you Liz!!

Very engaging

Liz did a great job with Newborn Basics. Her energetic personality makes the class very engaging. The materials provided and practicing swaddling and other tasks was very helpful.

Newborn Basics stood out!

My husband and I have taken multiple virtual classes through the hospital we are delivering at, and although they were great, I sometimes found the format and timing to be a little overwhelming with the influx of information. Your Newborn Basics class stood out amongst the many hours of educational courses we’ve been doing. What really added value for me in this class was physically doing things hands-on (diapering, swaddling, etc.) and the instructor’s knowledge and personal experience.

Loved the hands-on approach

I loved the hands-on approach of the in-person class. Also, Val was amazing! She answered all questions thoroughly and patiently and gave great tips for taking care of a newborn. She had a great energy.

Hands-on, interactive, and perfect group size

Really beneficial class with helpful tips. Loved the hands-on activities, small group size and how interactive it was. Liz was great and so awesome in answering so many of our questions!

Engaging, Funny and Informative

Liz was awesome! Very engaging, funny and informative. She made sitting through a 2-hour class after work very enjoyable!

Hands-on and interactive

Newborn Basics was really beneficial with helpful tips. We liked the hands-on activities, small group size, and how interactive it was. Liz was great and so awesome in answering so many of our questions! We are looking forward to the Childbirth class next.

Personalized Experience

Best class!! This was our first in person class and our favorite class by far! My husband found it so informative and looks forward to learning more and attending more classes. All of our other classes were with Main Line Health, so we were happy to have the personalized experience you provide!

Practical and comical

We learned so much and liked how Liz kept the content practical and comical. She had a great way of giving solid content without overwhelming nervous parents.

Useful and hands-on

We had a wonderful time practicing and learning useful skills for when our baby arrives. Really liked the hands-on aspect and the car seat info.

Useful hands-on training

Very good class with helpful info, and useful hands-on training. Liz was the instructor and was very detailed. She spent time with us individually to make sure we were comfortable and understood what to do.

This class boosted my confidence

Liz was FANTASTIC. I cannot say enough good things about her! She was warm and engaging, made sure everyone was on the same page, and stayed late to answer questions. Having this class in person really boosted my confidence and made me feel less anxious about becoming a new parent. We also liked having the physical book to reference in the future if needed. I walked away feeling so much better, and less anxious than I have in weeks. Nicole and Liz, I just want to say: a huge thank you to you both!

100x more prepared!

We had our son 6 weeks early – the Newborn Basics class was a wonderful mental break from the NICU. We feel 100x more prepared when our little guy is ready to come home over the next couple of weeks. Liz was absolutely phenomenal. Kept the class very engaging with her wealth of knowledge and amazing humor.

Very focused on the topic

I thought Newborn Basics class was great! I really liked that it was focused on the topic. I’ve heard feedback about other courses at other places that were supposed to be about newborn care but half of it was spent talking about L&D. It was nice that the class stayed on track, and that there was information about other classes too.

We feel good about welcoming our baby

My husband and I really loved this class. We feel a lot better about welcoming our baby in just a few short weeks now that we have a better idea of what to expect from the newborn stage. The class materials were great and super helpful to take home and Val was an amazing instructor!

Real, safe information from a nurse

We left feeling much more prepared and less overwhelmed. We also thought Liz was great! She was funny, approachable, and made everything feel do-able. It was nice to get real, safe information from a nurse in the community. I’m skeptical about everyone on the internet (thanks career in medical credentialing, lol) so I was happy to see this course being offered.
