It was a great class, and I appreciate the knowledge the instructor shared with us
Extremely knowledgeable
The instructor, Nicole, was extremely knowledgeable and patient.
Informative and important
I loved the hands-on instruction and clear explanation about why we use the techniques: informative and important!
Ample time to practice
I was so impressed with the instructor and the way she taught the class. I and everyone else was so comfortable – both asking questions and having the instructor come around to see how we were doing. I had ample time to practice all exercises, so I am now comfortable with not hesitating to use CPR/AED/Choking techniques if necessary.
Confident in an emergency
My experience was awesome. I was so glad to have the models to practice on and see the immediate feedback from the blinking lights. The instructors were excellent, and everyone seemed comfortable and actively engaged. I was able to practice as much as I wanted, and I am now confident that I can use these skills in an emergency. Thank you!
About the Class:
Main Line Family Education offers American Heart Association® (AHA) BLS CPR Certification and Heartsaver® CPR Certification, which are video-based, instructor-led classroom courses. You will learn the skills needed to provide CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely, quickly, and effectively.
This is a hands-on training in a low-stress environment. AHA’s research-proven Practice-While-Watching (PWW) technique allows instructors to observe the students as they practice administering CPR, using an AED, and relieving choking. Instructors provide guidance during the class and give in-the-moment feedback as students practice using these skills.
We keep class sizes small, so instructors have time to watch and provide individual coaching. Students who complete AED/CPR training with us and receive certification have hands-on experience from the training, which is indispensable when it comes to putting their lifesaving skills to use quickly and confidently.
Cost includes certification card fee, paid to the American Heart Association by MLFEd, a student workbook, and a full CPR kit (contents include: 2 different sized masks to fit infants, children and adults, a non-rebreather valve, a pair of gloves, and a sterile wipe).
Certification is good for 2 years from the course date. Upon successful completion, an e-card will be sent to each participant via email. E-cards arrive within 1-2 weeks and may be downloaded and/or printed for your convenience.
