About Dr. Krause
Dr. Elizabeth D. Krause is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in women’s mental health and wellness. For the last 15 years, she has been at the forefront of developing and implementing prevention and intervention programs for women and girls that can be administered in community, medical, and school settings.
Her private clinical practice, Women’s Wellness Solutions, LLC, is based in an obstetrics and gynecology office which has allowed her to collaborate closely with physicians to improve women’s experiences during pregnancy and the postpartum period. Dr. Krause uses evidence-based practices that have been shown to effectively reduce women’s stress and boost mental health and resiliency.
Dr. Krause was born and raised in the Philadelphia area. After graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Arts degree from Cornell University, she attended Duke University where she earned a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and a graduate certificate in Women’s Studies. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Georgetown University Medical Center that was funded by the National Institute of Mental Health. Currently, Dr. Krause holds Department of Psychology appointments as a Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania and as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Swarthmore College.
